HOMESTEAD, FL — SOUTH FLORIDA CORRIDOR (305) 247-2116
Trade Clearing — Freight Coordination

Freight and paperwork, cleared together.

Mex Clearing is a trade-clearing and freight-coordination office in Homestead, Florida. We keep documents, schedules, and compliance steps moving in step along South Florida's import/export corridor — from PortMiami berths to Homestead's agricultural lanes.

What clearing means

Clearing, in plain terms.

Every shipment that crosses a border carries two loads: the cargo itself and the paperwork behind it. Clearing is the work of making sure the second load never holds up the first. In modern trade, that means accurate documents submitted on time, deadlines tracked across terminals and time zones, and every party — shipper, consignee, carrier, broker, terminal — reading from the same page.

That is the work of this office. Mex Clearing supports importers, exporters, and the licensed customs brokers who file on their behalf. We prepare and organize documentation, coordinate the movement of freight, and keep records that stand up to review. We do not replace licensed brokers; we make their work, and yours, run smoother.

Services

What the office handles.

Five lines of work, one purpose: freight that moves without paperwork delays.

M-01

Customs documentation support

We prepare, check, and organize commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, and release paperwork — so nothing stalls at a terminal over a missing field.

M-02

Freight coordination

Scheduling drayage, transloads, and door moves, then keeping carriers, terminals, and consignees aligned on a single timeline from vessel discharge to final delivery.

M-03

Compliance guidance

Practical guidance on documentation requirements, record retention, and agency expectations — always coordinated with the licensed customs broker responsible for your filings.

M-04

Broker & carrier liaison

One point of contact between your team, your licensed customs broker, and your carriers, so questions stop bouncing between inboxes and decisions happen faster.

M-05

Records & reporting

Organized shipment files, status updates, and clean reporting your team can pull up any time — during an audit, a review, or a simple status call.

Routes

Corridors we work.

Our workday runs along the routes where South Florida's trade actually happens.

R-01 / SEA PortMiami Container terminals on Biscayne Bay. We track vessel arrivals, coordinate drayage off the dock, and keep release paperwork ready before a truck reaches the gate.
R-02 / RAIL Miami Intermodal Where rail meets the road. We schedule transfers between rail ramp and yard, confirm container availability, and align drayage windows with train arrivals.
R-03 / AGRI Homestead agricultural lane Refrigerated produce moving in and out of the growing region. Time-sensitive documentation and temperature-aware scheduling for growers, packers, and distributors.
R-04 / ROAD I-95 & Turnpike inland The inland legs. Coordinated truck moves between terminals, warehouses, and consignees across Miami-Dade, Broward, and the Palm Beaches.

Process

How a shipment moves with us.

Four steps, in order, every time.

  1. 01

    Intake

We confirm the shipment's details, documents, parties, and deadlines before anything else moves.

  2. 02

    Documentation

Paperwork is prepared, checked against booking data, and routed to the right desks on time.

  3. 03

    Coordination

Carriers, terminals, and brokers are aligned on one schedule — and re-aligned when reality changes.

  4. 04

    Follow-through

Status updates on the way in, organized records on the way out. Clean closeout on every shipment.

Documentation

Paperwork, handled carefully.

A missing field, a mismatched weight, a late upload — small errors cost real money at a marine terminal. Every document is checked against booking and invoice data, filed consistently, and delivered to the right desk before the deadline. And your records stay organized long after the cargo is delivered.

The office

A Homestead office on the corridor.

Mex Clearing is run by owner Michael J Marcus from 200 NE 2nd Dr in Homestead — close to the agricultural lanes that define this part of Miami-Dade, and a short drive from the ports, rail ramps, and highways the office works every day. Clients get one dependable point of contact, plain answers about where a shipment stands, and a paper trail they can trust.

A note on brokers: Mex Clearing works alongside licensed customs brokers, not in place of them. Any filing that law requires a licensed customs broker to make is made by one — we coordinate around them so nothing falls between the chairs.

One corridor. One office keeping it moving.
